Our Mandate
The International Positive Dog Training Association is for dog-related professionals dog owners and enthusiasts willing to take a stand for the use of only the humane application of acceptable tools and techniques in dog training and behaviour modification. The purpose of the IPDTA is to dissect every tool and technique, to agree on proper application and to set the international standard for what is acceptable, what is unacceptable and what is abusive. Votes will be cast based on the risk of misuse, abuse and/or malfunction of the tool or technique in the hands of an average dog owner.  Any accepted tool immediately becomes unacceptable if the subject dog shows any sign of fear or pain.
